2021 Annual Fundraiser & Awards Virtual Celebration
October 19, 2021 @ 6:00PM — 8:00PM Central Time (US & Canada)
Join us for the Climate + Energy Project Annual Fundraiser and Awards Celebration, "Visions of a Resilient Kansas: Energy Justice For All!"
The Climate + Energy Project and our supporters build resilience in Kansas through equitable clean energy solutions and climate action. Energy justice is a critical piece of this work. The pandemic highlighted how energy insecurity exacerbates existing inequalities. Shalanda Baker's work inspires advocates to integrate energy justice frameworks. Bring your friends to learn more about the importance of energy justice in climate action and help lead the way to an equitable clean energy future in Kansas.
The event will feature a keynote presentation by Shalanda Baker, the Secretarial Advisor on Equity and Deputy Director for Energy Justice in the Office of Economic Impact and Diversity at the U.S. Department of Energy, and recognition of the 2021 Climate + Energy Award Winners.
Note: In order to ensure that everyone can hear Shalanda Baker's message, we have adopted a Pay As You Can sliding scale for tickets this year. While this is a fundraising event, we don't want cost to be a barrier for any community organizers or activists to be able to attend.
